Home Team Bex

Rebecca Wigram

Bex is the team's head of all on shore operations. In essence this means she will be the key contact for the team whilst they are at sea - which will require her to be everything from 'virtual' physio, psychotherapist, peace keeper, communications officer and general 'rock' of the team. In conjunction with Emma they make up an enviable support team, something the team are very lucky to have.

Originally born in Bournemouth, UK, she spent most of her early life in the Westcountry with a brief stint in London (something she hopes never to have to repeat!). Bex has a special connection to the team as it was here that she met Tom (The Engine), sparking in to life a love affair that was to last some 10 years before Tom finally plucked up the courage to pop the question and unite the two of them as Mr & Mrs Wigram!

Together they formed an inseparable partnership, working and travelling in tandem across the UK. It was during these hedonistic years working and playing hard in the world of events and experiential marketing that Bex decided that event management was where her true calling was and she hasnt really looked back since bringing her skills and experience to New Zealand where she now works for Gen-i as Team Manager of the Events & Hospitality team.

Back in 2002 Bex and Tom left the UK to set up a new life in New Zealand, a country they had both fallen in love with many years ago and a place they have since settled and fully embraced as their new homeland. They are 'living the dream' on Takapuna Beach in Auckland and have already established themselves as the social magnates of the local community.
